At Church Stretton Golf Club we guarantee a warm and friendly welcome in our clubhouse set against the stunning views of the Longmynd hills.
We provide Bar and Restaurant services to members, visiting golfers, the local community and walkers (dogs and children are welcome)
We operate a fully licensed bar and offer a range of light refreshments which can be enjoyed from within our 50-seating clubhouse or enjoying the views outside from our stunning terraces sat on comfortable seating.
Club Offerings
Our clubhouse can offer the following:
- Fully licensed bar
- Light lunches, cakes and hot drinks
- Indoor and outdoor seating for 60 people
- Indoor entertaining ‘buffet style’ for upwards of 100 people
- Free Wifi
- Full size retractable projector screen able to screen events or movies
- Plentiful and free parking
- Full reservation of the facilities is available
If you are looking for a venue for a private event such as a birthday, anniversary, funeral wake or social club please get in contact with us, and we will be happy to work with you to support your event.
For those requiring a smaller intimate event we work closely with a local professional catering team at Batchcott & Waller who can offer bespoke menus designed to meet your plans and budget.

Where we have events at the club we will open the bar for members and non members to use the facilities unless it is a private booking.

If you do manage to avert your gaze from the views you will find bracken and heather-lined fairways that snake among hills and cavernous valleys, leading to undulating, tricky greens that will ask tough questions of your putting stroke. Church Stretton doesn’t rely on freakish length or huge carries off the tee to give it teeth – the spectacular natural landscape gives it all the bite it needs.
The sandy soil and excellent year-round drainage means the course is a pleasure to play all year round. Many of the golfing Press have also come along to see what all the fuss is about. Todays Golfer, Golf Monthly and others have heaped praise on this “unique gem” and a recent course review described Church Stretton as “a spectacular golfing experience that anyone who loves the game should play.”
