Book Tee Time
If you do manage to avert your gaze from the views you will find bracken and heather-lined fairways that snake among hills and cavernous valleys, leading to undulating, tricky greens that will ask tough questions of your putting stroke. Church Stretton doesn’t rely on freakish length or huge carries off the tee to give it teeth – the spectacular natural landscape gives it all the bite it needs.
The sandy soil and excellent year-round drainage means the course is a pleasure to play all year round. Many of the golfing Press have also come along to see what all the fuss is about. Todays Golfer, Golf Monthly and others have heaped praise on this “unique gem” and a recent course review described Church Stretton as “a spectacular golfing experience that anyone who loves the game should play.”
But don’t take our word for it – the only way to truly experience all that this unique course has to offer – is to come and play.
What Our Visitors Say

A joy to play. Every time ⛳ George Boden31 March 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Beautiful scenic golf course, well maintained and great greens. Members and Staff are very friendly. giles beaumont30 March 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ignore the negative comments on here as they do not reflect the experience I had as a visitor playing Church Stretton last week. James, the professional couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Additionally, a member was kind enough to arrange to play with me and shepherd me around the course - that's above and beyond. The course was in fabulous condition for the time of year, no temporary greens or winter tees here - just the sheer unadulterated joy of playing on firm fairways, true greens with stunning views at every turn. I came off the course with a huge smile - what a challenge - the first three holes must be one of the hardest starts around particularly the first; who said par 3s are easy and I reckon the steeply downhill 18th (another par 3) could potentially be a bit of a card wrecker. Go and play there, you won't be disappointed. Mark Roberts18 February 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. James in the club shop really looked after us on a recent society day. 14 of us played and loved it. Beautiful, unique course with a links feel. Great value for money too. Thank you!
